Pot Roast

There are two ways to cook a pot roast: on the stovetop or in the oven, and the choice of liquid and flavorings you use are largely up to you. Any kind of broth, wine, tomato juice, and water all work well, and I have even heard of people using coffee.

Cranberry Ketchup

Simple Chocolate Truffles

Add flavourings other than extract as you bring cream to a simmer, then let it steep for a bit off the heat (you don't want to cook the cream down too much) and strain it out, then rewarm it enough to melt the chocolate.

Orange Almond Biscotti

Sweet Spiced Rosemary Pecans

Creamed Chicken (or Turkey) and Biscuits

For a different flavour, try adding 1 tsp. curry paste or powder in place of the thyme or Italian seasoning.
