Last night I made a batch of onion rings for someo Last night I made a batch of onion rings for someone who’s sick (so much of it now, it seems) and didn’t have an appetite for anything except perhaps a few onion rings. Fortunately, all you need to cobble some together is an onion, some flour, baking powder, beer or fizzy water (or dry cider, as I used last night) and oil - even just the depth of an onion ring, in a small pot - to make some pretty amazing ones! They were so good (and I got so many requests for a recipe) I made another batch with W today, and posted a how-to in stories!
